The books have been designed for the general maths classroom to help children practise and build on skills in both te reo Maori and numeracy. The activities are in te reo Maori and can be used on their own or alongside the English edition. This book is carefully aligned to Stage 4 of numeracy development. The other key focus of the design of this book has been to align the activities with key pangarau (maths) resources that Maori medium teachers are using. The vocabulary is consistent with Te Reo Pangarau and Poutama Tau, a programme parallel to the National Numeracy Project.
